Angkor Wat is the biggest complex of religious buildings ever built by humans. Giant Hindu temples are dedicated to the god Vishnu. Huge buildings were built in the beginning of XII century. Angkor was one of the biggest human settlements. It’s supposed that about 500.000 people lived here, and its area might be about 3000 square kilometers.

The complex got its name after the central temple called Angkor Wat. Its aerea is about 200 hectares and it’s surrounded by a 200 meters wide moat.
